When we study the Bible, we see that God is a God of continuity. He continues until His purpose was fulfilled. (God wants to fulfil His purpose trough and for your life.)
Today we are going to look at people mentioned briefly in the Bible that seemingly went unnoticed but were vital to Gods plans and purpose. As we go through this study, I want you to continually ask God the question (What is Your plan and Purpose for me?)
The first person we are going to look at is Jesse the father of king David he is mentioned in 1 Samuel 16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. This was a prophecy from Isaiah 11: 1-3 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Here is an interesting thought there is no mention of Jesse’s wife (David’s mother) one of the only time she is even mentioned (not by name) is by David in Psalms 86:16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. She played an important role in Gods plans but yet she was relatively unnoticed how would we respond if we were to go unnoticed by man but used of God.
In today’s society most people think if they are not on the stage or in the spotlight, you are not in ministry (Has anyone ever implied that you are not doing enough for God?) Do you know that many believers are being used by God in great ways but go unnoticed by man.
